What Is The Course?

The Paediatric First Aid course meets childcare registration requirements for employees working in a low-risk workplace who care for babies and children. The course is suitable for au pairs, childminders, nannies, nursery/pre-school workers, anyone responsible for the welfare of children. This covers accidents and emergencies which could happen in the workplace. The course is suitable for anyone aged 16+ and gives delegates the skills and confidence to respond to several first aid emergencies.

This is 12-hour course is completed, 6 hours online and 6 hours face to face. The face-to-face training will run from 0900-1600 and includes a morning break/lunch break. It is advised you bring your own lunch as there may not be food options close to the facility. 

The online training has been designed to give learners the theoretical knowledge to accompany face to face practical training. The online course can be completed on any PC or mobile device. Learners can log in and out completed the online element in bite size pieces. 

Online training appeals to all learners through quizzes, audio and video. Learners have the flexibility to complete the course at their own pace. Provides an in-depth resource for those with English as a second language, to equip them with the vocabulary, language skills and confidence to pass the practical course. Leaners are assessed throughout the online training. Self-checks are performed after each section of the course and an end of course multiple-choice assessment.

The course is delivered as a combination of online and a classroom setting and mixes theory and practical elements. Your ability is assessed throughout the day using a range of quizzes, questioning, games and scenarios. 

On completion of the course a certificate will be emailed to you which is valid for 3 years.

Course Price – £80 for a group of 10 or more. £110 for individual bookings
