Paediatric First Aid Course

Paediatric first aid

Course overview

Our 2 day Paediatric First Aid course is broken down into one day eLearning followed by a face to face training session.

An eLearning code will be emailed to you and the module must be completed prior to the practical day. Learners can access the module as many times as required via a computer/laptop/tablet and phone. Online training appeals to all learners through quizzes, audio and video. Learners have the flexibility to complete the course at their own pace.

The face to face session will be delivered by one of our professional and highly engaging trainers who will ensure you have fun while you learn. We take great pride in the courses we have created which are packed with games, quizzes and plenty of hands -on practical elements which creates the perfect learning environment.

Course will run 9am – 3.30pm which includes a short morning break/lunch break. It is advised you bring your own lunch as there may not be food options close to the facility

What you will learn

  • Gain the skills and confidence to respond to several first aid emergencies safely
  • Assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take
  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider

Assessment and certification

Learners are assessed throughout the eLearning. Self-checks are performed after each section of the course and an end-of-course multiple-choice assessment.

During the face-to-face training, your ability is assessed throughout the day using a range of quizzes, questioning, games, and scenarios.

Upon completion, you will receive an FAIB accredited certificate recognised by HSE & Care Inspectorate.
