1. Bookings
may be made online, by e-mail or telephone. By returning a completed booking form to First Stop Safety Training you have agreed and accept these Terms and Conditions.
2. Deposit
For group bookings a deposit of £100 is needed to secure course dates based on the total course fee, until the deposit is paid First Stop Safety Training cannot guarantee those dates which will remain available for other groups.
3. Cancellations
First Stop Safety Training shall not be liable to the client or be deemed to be in breach of contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of First Stop Safety Training’s obligations in relation to the service, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond their reasonable control such as severe weather where weather warnings have been issued or other unsuitable conditions to perform the service.
If a course has to be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances we will make every attempt to contact you at the address, telephone, email given on your booking form. Covid-19 cancellations – With close contacts no longer required to self isolate bookings will go ahead as normal. Confirmed Covid-19 cases are deemed the same as other illnesses in regards to non-attendance. Delegates who do not attend with Covid-19 will be offered an alternative public course (where possible).
If the group booking is cancelled by the client the following fees will be payable.

If the client cancels individuals on a scheduled course they must give 5 days notice of cancellation before the Scheduled Course start date otherwise the client shall pay the full course fees. Delegates names can be changed up to the booking date. Any changes to individual cancellations or adding more on could result in price changes as our pricing is set in tariffs.
At the discretion of the First Stop Safety Training, if an insufficient number of students attend any one day, the course may be postponed or cancelled in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Weekday: At First Stop Safety Training’s discretion. Saturday: minimum of 6 delegates Sunday: minimum of 4 delegates
4. Failure to attend
If any student fails to attend the course or any part of the course on which a place has been reserved, fees in respect of that student will be payable by the Client in full.
If any student arrives late or is absent from any sessions, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. (To conform with Health & Safety Executive requirements for Statutory Certificates, attendance at all sessions is mandatory.)
If the course on which a place has been reserved for a student has commenced but for exceptional reasons the student has not been able to complete the course, an alternative date will be offered to enable the student to complete the remaining part of the course. Exceptional reasons may include illness supported by a doctor’s note.
5. Fitness to Attend
Delegates placed on any course must be free from any ailment, condition or injury that will affect their ability to participate during the practical aspects of the course and be fit and have the right attributes of a First Aider and be able to give First Aid in an emergency situation.
6. Liability
All training and advice given by First Stop Safety Training is done by following guidelines provided by the appropriate councils. Information given by First Stop Safety Training is to the best of our knowledge, up to date and evidence based, First Stop Safety Training cannot accept any responsibility for misinterpretation of the advice given.
7. Certificates
We reserve the right not to issue certificates where an invoice remains unpaid. Requests for copy certificates are subject to an administration fee of £10 each.
Additional Information:
Please advise your candidates to wear suitable clothing for the course. It would also be appreciated if no lipstick is worn as this stains the manikins.
